About the Project

Anantmool is committed to improving the lives of children facing adversity, focusing on their well-being and development. In partnership with the Azim Premji Foundation, we have launched the Rural Crèche Initiative, a transformative program designed to enhance the nutritional status and developmental milestones of children aged 7 months to 3 years.

This initiative provides comprehensive support through supplementary feeding, early childhood development programs, and ensuring access to essential entitlements critical for children’s growth. By prioritizing early intervention, we aim to address challenges such as growth faltering, underweight, and wasting in young children, with consistent follow-up to ensure their sustained well-being. Through this holistic approach, we strive to create nurturing environments where every child can thrive and reach their full potential, laying the foundation for a healthier and brighter future.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com) from a recognized university with strong computer skills.
  • Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in managing NGO accounting, including handling FCRA and Non-FCRA funds. finance, and logistics.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Tally and MS Office, with sound knowledge of compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Finance:

  • Manage accounts in compliance with regulatory frameworks, including the Income Tax and FCRA guidelines Act.
  • Assist in preparing annual financial statements and audited reports.
  • Prepare and analyze financial records, statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Handle project accounting, prepare monthly expenditure reports, and utilization certificates.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records with proper supporting documentation.
  • Review and finalize bills, vouchers, and financial postings.

Taxation and Audits:

  • Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax payments, reporting, and other statutory requirements.
  • Facilitate annual audits for projects and prepare required financial reports.
  • Conduct financial reviews and due diligence of vendors and partner organizations.

Logistics and Procurement:

  • Oversee procurement processes and ensure cost-effective and timely purchases.
  • Administer inventory, stock records, and safekeeping of materials and assets.
  • Coordinate with program staff for smooth material supply and crèche functioning.
  • Ensure quality checks and timely repair/maintenance of assets, including anthropometric instruments.

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide strategic financial recommendations based on analysis.

 

General Support:

  • Provide logistical support for daily operations of crèches.
  • Monitor office management, asset maintenance, and safekeeping.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor to ensure smooth program implementation.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles,  analytical and problem-solving skills, and logistics management.
  • Deep understanding of FCRA and NGO accounting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision
